Gonçalo Mendes Leal

His career in law began in 2009, taking him through some of the most respected names in the Portuguese legal market before founding his own firm and, in 2018, joining forces with Nuno to create NSM Lawyers a project shaped by a clear vision and the right team to carry it forward.

A graduate of Lusíada University of Lisbon, with postgraduate degrees in Corporate Law and Legal Management, Gonçalo brings together legal rigour and strategic business thinking in a way that sets him apart.

His practice focuses on foreign investors, with a regular presence at leading industry events across the United States, Middle East, Turkey, India and China, advising on international investment operations with the depth of knowledge and personal commitment that this world demands.

What defines his approach is straightforward: he listens more than he speaks, learns from everyone and everything, and always looks at every situation through the client's eyes. He doesn't look for the obvious solution, he looks for the right one. And he has built a strong, structured team around him, with a DNA that complements his own and pushes him to grow every day.

Outside the office (when that eventually happens), he can be found with a big smile among family, friends, good wine and the sea.
