Nuno Sousa Moniz
Nuno is a founding partner of NSM Lawyers and one of the driving forces behind everything the firm stands for.
A graduate of the Faculty of Law at Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon, he began his legal career in 1996 and joined forces with Gonçalo in 2018 to establish NSM Lawyers, a partnership built on experience, trust, and a shared commitment to doing things the right way.
Over a career spanning nearly three decades, Nuno has developed extensive expertise across several areas of law, with a particular focus on Real Estate, Litigation, Corporate, and Commercial Law.
He advises developers, investment funds, private investors, and companies across a wide range of sectors on real estate, corporate, and commercial matters. His work includes property transactions, corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic projects.
Nuno also has significant experience in civil and commercial dispute resolution, representing both domestic and international clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings. What defines Nuno is not only the breadth of his experience, but also the way he applies it. Calm, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented, he is a trusted adviser when the stakes are high and the path forward is not always straightforward.
Outside the office, he recharges the way many good lawyers do: away from screens and surrounded by the people who matter most.
